Frequently Asked Questions
How does syncing work?
LoopLog uses iCloud to automatically sync your data between all devices signed into the same Apple ID. Syncing happens automatically in the background - no setup required! Just make sure you’re signed into iCloud on all your devices.
What do the colors mean?
- Green: On track - activity is within its target frequency
- Yellow: Due - past target frequency by up to 50%
- Orange: Overdue - past target frequency by 50-150%
- Red: Very overdue - exceeded target frequency by more than 150%
- Gray: Never logged - no completion recorded yet
How do I set custom frequencies?
When adding or editing an activity, you can choose from preset frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly) or set a custom interval. Options include:
- Hours (for very frequent activities)
- Days (for regular habits)
- Weeks (for weekly routines)
- Months (for monthly tasks)
- Years (for annual events)
How do I delete an activity or log entry?
Swipe left on any activity or log entry to reveal the delete button. Tap to remove it.
What are the different history views?
LoopLog offers three ways to view your activity history:
- List View: Chronological list of all log entries with notes
- Month Calendar: Heatmap showing daily activity intensity
- Year View: Full-year heatmap to spot long-term patterns
Each view includes detailed statistics showing total logs and median intervals between activities.
How do I edit a log entry?
In the activity history view, tap on any log entry to edit its timestamp or add/modify notes.
Can I reorder activities?
Yes! In a group view, tap Edit then drag activities using the handle on the right to reorder them.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. LoopLog stores all data locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We have no servers and cannot access your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does LoopLog work offline?
Yes! LoopLog works completely offline. When you’re back online, any changes will sync automatically via iCloud.
What devices are supported?
LoopLog is a universal app that works on:
- iPhone (iOS 18.0+)
- iPad (iPadOS 18.0+)
- Mac (macOS 14.0+ with Apple Silicon or Intel)
Are there any subscriptions?
Nope! LoopLog is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions or hidden fees. Buy once, use on all your devices.
How do notifications work?
LoopLog offers customizable notifications for each activity:
- At Due: Get reminded exactly when an activity is due
- Before Due: Set a custom reminder before the due time
- Smart Timing: Let LoopLog choose optimal reminder times based on your patterns
Notifications include quick actions like “Log Now”, “Snooze”, and “View Activity”.
What is adaptive scheduling?
Adaptive scheduling is an intelligent feature that learns from your actual activity patterns. When enabled for an activity, LoopLog calculates your median interval between logs and uses that for scheduling instead of the fixed frequency. Perfect for activities with natural variation like menstrual cycles, irregular workouts, or flexible routines.
Can I switch between Time Since and Time Until views?
Yes! LoopLog offers two display modes:
- Time Since: Shows how long ago you completed an activity
- Time Until: Shows when an activity is due (or how overdue it is)
You can toggle between these modes to get different perspectives on your activities.
